WORKSHOPS IN BERLIN
KOMA Elektronik has always been about more than just creating awesome music instruments. At KOMA, we love to share our enthusiasm and knowledge about music electronics with our community, and facilitate possibilities for other music aficionados to exchange their experiences, tips and ideas. In the past, we ran a very successful workshop series at our shop and community space Common Ground, and we built on this tradition at our new space in Wedding.
Come and take part in one or more of our workshops! The topics range from the basics of sound synthesis and music electronics to soldering and building your own electronic music instruments and gadgets such as a radio transmitter or a KOMA Elektronik product. We will be adding more workshops as the Kommunity will grow.
We also offer workshops for companies and organizations in terms of team building and educational events. If you like to learn more, please get in touch with us directly.
If you’re a teacher interested in organizing a workshop in collaboration with us at KOMA HQ, please get in touch by filling in the form below.
NEXT WORKSHOP
Analog Synth Schematics Club
Tired of browsing your feed? How about learning about how to read a schematic of your synth instead? Max will teach you about the rules and symbols of electric circuits and their meanings.
Together you’ll explore the signal flow of an analog synthesizer and break down a schematic of a synthesizer into its individual parts so you’ll be able to navigate it like a map.
Additionally, you will be given tips to identify power & protection related circuitry, basic introduction to transistors and op amps and learn how to read common synthesizer-specific “structures” like signal amplifiers, mixers, filters, exponentiators and more.
No calculator needed!
Desoldering Techniques Workshop
Mastering a range of desoldering techniques is essential for confidently approaching repairs. Every situation is unique, so understanding the available tools, materials, and best practices will save you time and frustration.
In this workshop, we’ll cover methods for both through-hole and SMD (surface-mount device) desoldering. You’ll get hands-on experience with each tool and technique.
No need to bring anything, practicing material will be provided but feel free to bring your own boards. If you’d like to try out desoldering with your own tools, bring them along.
