KOMA Elektronik @ DE:BUG Musiktechniktage 2013
PART 1:
T.raumschmiere tells all: Live performing with analog equipment.
For last years DE:BUG Musik Techniktage KOMA Elektronik invited Berlin dub producer and mastering engineer Pole (Stefan Betke) to shine a light on how he uses modular synthesizers in his day-to-day production process.  This year we are very happy to announce that punk techno legend Marco Haas, a.k.a. T.Raumschmiere will step it up a notch and show the MTT’13 participants how he performs live with analog gear. The hands-on workshop/lecture/presentation will feature the many aspects of using different analog pieces of equipment to create an organic and dense live experience: He will show how to organize a live-setup, how to keep everything running in sync, different ways of smart patching, effects use and effective use of presets.
Of course there is a possibility to ask questions and get your hands on the latest KOMA Elektronik products and prototypes!

PART 2:
Soundboxes workshop
Discover the hidden sonic qualities of objects from our everyday world in this hands-on workshop, combining the arts of electronics, noise, sculpture and collage.
Besides hosting a workshop on how to use analog equipment in a live performance, KOMA Elektronik invited their friend instrument builder and sonic artist Derek Holzer for a special DIY building workshop: In a 4 hour workshop we’ll be building Soundboxes. SoundBoxes are small, primitive electro-acoustic instruments built from a wooden box, a speaker, a small audio amplifier and a contact microphone. They can create a variety of drone and reverb-type sounds through feedback between the speaker and microphone, as seen in this video. Or they can bring out the hidden sounds found within everyday objects as seen in this video. They also have small touchpoints which can be used to produce a variety of “circuit bending” sounds. Exciting! The KOMA crew will assist Derek and the participants in the building process and makes sure there is a nice soundtrack to the event!
Participants may wish to bring their own found objects and images to create a unique audiovisual cabinet of curiosities. Some guitar effect pedals can also make the box more interesting. All other tools, materials, speakers and boxes will be provided. Of course KOMA will make sure enough additional equipment is present to test the boxes and who knows: maybe we can jam together to end the afternoon in a musical fashion!
