Acoustic Instruments in Electronic Music Workshop

From electronic to electro-acoustic music: Learn how to incorporate acoustic instruments in your electronic music production to add variety, organic touch and more means of expression.

We’ll cover various recording and amplifying techniques, creating and using samples, processing acoustic sounds with hardware and DAW and integrating them into a modular synthesizer setup.

This workshop will prove that you don’t have to be a virtuoso to be able to embrace the beauty, texture and character of traditional instruments in your music! The instruments and gear used for demonstration include a harp, KOMA Elektronik Field Kit series, Ableton Live, modular synthesizers and effect pedals.

About: Zuzana Hamm aka FridaY is a musician, DJ, music journalist and copywriter, event organiser and a shipping and community manager at KOMA Elektronik. In 2021, she completed a music production mentorship programme with Sebastian Mullaert (Minilogue) and the Amplify Berlin residency under the mentorship of Hainbach. In 2025, she finished the School of Song songwriting course with Brian Eno. In her productions and shows, she combines the use of synthesizers, controllers and Ableton with vocals, harp, bass, field recordings and improvisation.
