All shipments now face import duties and fees, even on low-value orders. To avoid surprises, we recommend budgeting <strong data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1508\">20% on top of your order total<\/strong> (including shipping cost) for U.S. import charges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1239\" data-end=\"1535\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Extra important:<\/strong><\/span> Sometimes the import broker makes a mistake and wrong tariffs are applied. If you reject your shipment because of high tariffs,&nbsp;<strong>we cannot refund your order<\/strong>, as those tariffs will then be put on our bill and we have to cover shipping to the US, shipping back, the wrongly applied tariffs, importing back to the EU and your order value. So, naturally if the spring can\u2018t pull the actuator back it won\u2018t work very well.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you can improve action by pulling the spring apart GENTLY or adding washers, so the spring has more tension and can push the actuator better.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;My solenoid doesn&#8217;t seem to work right horizontally&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613736645659-ddb93441-88f0&#8243;][vc_column_text]The solenoid for the Field Kit can actually only move in one direction when it gets a pulse. It is pulled back to its starting position by the little spring around the actuator. So, sometimes the spring got a little bit loose or has a little bit too little tension to start with.<\/p>\n<p>In that case, please check if the little nut on the actuator is tightened correctly. The spring reverb doesn\u2018t work without a spring tank. Also, be sure to put your input gain knob where you want to have it (right below the spring tank connectors).<\/p>\n<p>If you did that, here are some general purpose tips on how to get decent performance out of the Spring Reverb:<\/p>\n<p>The FKFX Spring Reverb is designed specifically with Eurorack modular audio level in mind. If your audio source gives out Line Level signal, you should try to boost it before going into the Spring Reverb ( The Gain In provides up to +6dB \/ 2x gain to get you going! )<\/p>\n<p>To further prevent noise-related issues with the Spring Reverb:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure no power-lines go close to the RCA-cables connecting the spring tank<\/li>\n<li>Make sure none of you patch-cables go close the RCA-cables connecting the spring tank.<\/li>\n<li>In extreme cases: you can split the &#8216;to&#8217; and &#8216;from&#8217;-cables into separate lines to have better mechanical isolation.<\/li>\n<li>In even more extreme cases: sometimes, due to differences in studio environments, the former is not sufficient, and thicker gauge shielded cables might be needed. Experiment with heavy-duty shielded RCA-cables to see if it makes a difference!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;My spring reverb makes an awful lot of noise when I touch the connectors or wiggle the cables&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613730637087-254597e9-e32d&#8221;][vc_column_text]Sometimes the RCA cables get a bit lose. The crazy noises come from the \u201ecollar\u201c of the connector losing contact with the RCA socket on the Field Kit FX. In that case take please take some small pliers and slightly and gently bend in the collars of the RCA jacks on the cable.
