Frustrated with traditional compositional methods, in2004 he began writing his own sequencer and audio processing software and then collaborated with DSPaudio to realize the first non-linear commercial sequencer. It has been used by notable figures in the experimental electronic scene including Daniel Miller (Mute records boss) and John Tejada (Palette recordings).\u00a0Realizing the need for more tactile interfaces, in 2008 he began designing performative modular systems and is currently exploring the role of modular synthesizers in modern culture. Participants need to bring 3 – 4hrs of time, a stuffed animal or something similar, a fitting speaker if they can find one and a soldering iron.
